Website
Design
You
work hard to develop a positive image of your business and your website is an
extension to that image and character. It should therefore showcase your business
as accurately as possible.
Before
starting to develop your website you should ask yourself the following questions:
- What is
the purpose of your site (online selling, information etc)?
- Who is
your target audience?
- This
is crucial in developing the 'look and feel' for your site!
- What types
of media will you require (images, audio, video etc)?
- Do you
already have some or all of these?
- This
will save some development costs!
- Who will
maintain your site?
- Ongoing
maintenance is an important issue many people overlook!
- Do you
have a budget?
- When do
you expect the site to go online?
- Are
there deadlines that are in place!
- Can you
define your requirements in one or two short descriptive sentences?
- If
the answer is yes then you are well positioned to begin developing.
